New Zealand Cup and Show Week involves key events at three venues; Riccarton Park Racecourse, Addington Raceway and Canterbury Agricultural Park. The focus of the spring festival is on racing, agriculture, fashion, family fun and entertainment.

What days are the key events?

The festival will launch with Al Basti Equiworld NZ 2000 Guineas Day on Saturday 10 November at Riccarton Park. Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup Day at Addington will be held on Tuesday 13, The New Zealand Agricultural Show runs from Wednesday 14 to Friday 16, and the week’s key events ends with the Christchurch Casino New Zealand Cup and New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas Day at Riccarton Park on Saturday 17 November 2018.

How do I buy tickets?

How do I book hospitality packages to the races?

Both Addington Raceway and Riccarton Park Racecourse have hospitality and marquee packages available to purchase.

Does my car pass for Riccarton Racecourse include individual admission on race day?

No, your car park ticket provides space allocation for one car only, individual entrance tickets still need to be purchased. Depending on the type of ticket you purchase that will determine what access you have around the racecourse.

Can I bring my own alcohol into the Carriage Car Park Zone at Riccarton Park Racecourse on Saturday 17 November?

No, you are not permitted to bring in any alcohol. You can bring in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages, chairs and shade structures. There are well priced bars and food outlets within easy distance of this area. Some restrictions do apply.

How do I enter the best dressed competitions?

Entries for the Westfield Riccarton Style Stakes, ZM Body Art and Fashion in the Field competitions, will be open from 3 September. Entry is free however an entrance ticket must be purchased. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.
